Ahead of the Rick and Morty Season 7 finale, series regular Sarah Chalke, who voiced the role of Beth Smith, previously provided an update on the production status of Rick and Morty Season 8, confirming that the cast has not yet begun voice recording. “It’s written, but we haven’t read them yet, we just got them a little bit before,” Chalke said. “You know, we get the scripts as we go, and it’s always fun to see what you’re going to do. I have a good time every time I record. Whatever Beth or Space Beth is doing, I’m here for it.”
In 2018, Adult Swim granted Rick and Morty a 70-episode renewal after three seasons, guaranteeing that the show would last up to ten seasons as each installment consisted of ten episodes.
